![]() VSTACK INTAKE UPGRADEAfter this air intake upgrade it is now (53 – 63 mpg). side note: My miles per gallon used to be (43 – 50 mpg). I do not plan on anything that brings that dirty stuff back into the air intake. I am going to shop around for a kit that connects the breather bolts with a hose and then goes to a filter. It is a very tiny amount but with 6+ hours of riding in a day it is super noticeable at the end of the day. Oil/residue spits out of these breathing tubes and leaves oil/residue on the intake tube, on the exhaust pipes below, on the crankcase, on the oil reservoir, on the seat and on my pants. I purchased the crankcase breather bolts like you see here in the picture. That is how long the metal air intake cylinder is. This is a good look at their Outlaw V-Stack Air Intake System (kit). And I’ve bought several of their products now. VSTACK INTAKE PROFESSIONALThe instructions are very well done and the company is super professional in every encounter I have ever had with them. I wanted to know every inch and how it all worked. I could design the whole thing now myself. I’m a perfectionist so as I did everything I was double doing and triple doing and undoing and redoing. Well, I’m not going to make that pose now (laugh). I thought I was going to be making a Facebook Post on DK Custom Products site telling them 45 minutes must be for people with zero mechanical skills. VSTACK INTAKE INSTALLAt first I thought it was going to be a 10 minute install because it seemed so easy. Took me a solid 2 hours to install the seat. I want to find something matte-black like plugs or something so it looks nice and uniform now. I have to do some rear fender work because the stock holes are exposed and mis-matched with how they are plugged. I am very happy with the solo bobber seat. Also you can rock your hips a bit to the left and right and it makes your lower back feel good (a little movement and adjustment on rides can really lengthen how long you can endure the pain of the ride sometimes). So you can feel yourself ease back in the seat more than the stock seat (doesn’t hold your butt forward as strong). fast acceleration… the seat does not have the very distinct upturned back edge that the stock seat has. I started laughing when I crossed the railroad tracks because I normally let out a loud “UMPH” each time… this was barely a bump at all. It slipped right over them with minimum feel. went over some manhole covers and rail road tracks that I am very familiar with. Still well within safety limits but I ride my bike a LOT and I am having to get used to the higher center of gravity now.Īlso. Makes the bike feel taller and your legs have to straighten out a bit more to put your feet on the ground. The bobber seat puts me up in the air about 1-2 inches higher than the stock seat. Also the first look of the solo bobber seat. This shows the coil relocation and ignition switch kit on this side of the bike. Once you install it you wouldn’t think twice about buying another for your other bike. Don’t even blink at the $67, it’s worth double that easy. I have the INSANE bright LED light upgrade from DK Custom Products in the light bucket now. I will offer a few pictures and comments below: VSTACK INTAKE UPDATEThis post update are the final results of the installation of a new solo bobber seat as well as a new Outlaw V-Stack Air Intake system.
